Network Systems
The convergence of broadcasting, the internet
and telecommunication services has opened up potentially huge new
content-hungry markets for broadcasters to exploit. I-Bus aims to help
OEMs, VARs and Systems Integrators enable their broadcasting customers
to maximize their ROI from equipment in the telecommunications MAN/WAN
network environment for applications like webcasting, streaming media,
interactive TV and datacasting.
Powerful Serverworks/Pentium-III and
Intel 845/Pentium-4 server ARPs can provide support for applications
like MPEG encoding or decoding. Powerful and scalable ARPs, can provide
ultra-high density CPU resources, with automatic
CPU-to-CPU fail over for Windows, Linux and Solaris applications.
Network connectivity options are
available to suit all environments - ranging from single port
10/100baseT full-duplex Ethernet for LAN environments, to multi-channel
ATM OC3 / OC12, xDSL or FCAL or PRI/BRI connectivity for Network
WAN/MAN environments. Additionally, I-Bus can offer satellite network
connectivity by leveraging other standards based technology.
In addition, Server platforms can
support a wide range of expansion boards for specific connectivity or
functionality - for example they can support multiple hot-swap QAM or
ATM OC12 modules with Linux, Windows or Solaris application support.
BSome products meet NEBS requirements for deployment in the
telecommunications central office environment.
